Burning Crusade Tips for the Beginner – Part 1

After playing the World of Warcraft for a few weeks now, you might already be thinking of playing its first Expansion Set – WoW: The Burning Crusade (TBC).  Read on to get some Burning Crusade Tips that will help you set your mind on what’s ahead.

Before installing TBC in your computer, it is highly recommended that you read our Burning Crusade Tips to give you an overview of the Expansion Set.  The first one would be to verify that you meet the minimum hardware requirements to have a smooth gaming experience.  Once your computer is qualified, you can play TBC on a trial basis to test whether you will really like this expansion.

You can download a trial version of TBC from the WoW website.  To do this, you need to sign up first and create an account in Battle.net.  This easy as filling-up a web form and clicking Play Free Trial to proceed.  Your Account Name is the same as your e-mail Address.  Check your e-mail and open the e-mail from WoW.

You will be guided by this e-mail to download a small program.  After downloading it, run this application and it will download the complete expansion.  The download time will depend on your internet connection.  You can leave this process running in the background while you continue reading our Burning Crusade Tips.

After the long download, just run the set-up program to install TBC on your computer.  Just read the on-screen instructions and decide carefully when prompted.  After installing the game, just click the appropriate desktop icon to start loading TBC.

While you are still downloading or installing TBC , you can just read ahead.  Before finally playing The Burning Crusade, it is best to gather 100-120 Runecloths, this will improve your First Aid Skill from 300 to 330.  You should also gather various potions and other supplies.  This includes Health Pots, Sharpening Stones, Troll’s Blood and other items that can give you a boost.

New items, weapons, equipments, materials and recipes will be introduced in TBC.  So it is best if you prepare as much gold so you can to purchase those that you need or want.  You should also travel light when going to the Outland.  This means a near empty bag.  Only carry items that are essential.  You have to do this because there are no Auction Houses in Outland so you need all the available space to minimize traveling.

If you’re with the Alliance, you should consider relocating to Stormwind because it will be nearer to the Blasted Lands compared to Ironforge or somewhere else.  If you plan to visit Outland, you just need to go to the Blasted Lands.  From there, you just walk through the Dark Portal.  But to pass through, you need to be at level 58 and have the expansion activated in your account.

Upon reaching the Outland, you will first see the Hellfire Peninsula which is intended for  level 60-63 players.  This is also one of the largest zones in WoW.  If you’re from the Alliance, move to the left after passing the portal.  You will meet a Flight Path Non-Playable Character (NPC) who can fly you to Honor Hold.  This is the main town of the Alliance in Hellfire Peninsula.

This is just part 1 of part 3 of my article: Quick and Dirty Burning Crusade Tips for the Beginner, I will continue from where I stop in the coming part, watch out for more tip on this topic. All the best.

Grand Theft Auto IV

Grand Theft Auto IV

Grand Theft Auto IV

Rockstar Games shook up the games industry when they created Grand Theft Auto III for the Playstation 2. Moving the once 2D game series into the third dimension and presenting a wide open world for the player to wreak havoc in proved to be a winning combination. Seven years later, they updated that experience for the new generation of consoles, and Grand Theft Auto IV was born.

The series has come a long way since then. Grand Theft Auto IV returns us to Liberty City, the setting of Grand Theft Auto III. This city has gotten a significant facelift thanks to next generation graphics, and it’s also been expanded to be much larger. The design of this massive, open city is based largely on New York City and parts of New Jersey, with each region of the city having its own cultural and socioeconomic groups.

As the real New York City has long been a haven for immigrants, it makes sense that the story of GTA IV focuses on a freshly arrived immigrant looking to achieve “the American Dream.” The player steps into the shoes of Niko Bellic, an Eastern European man with a painful past, who is looking to start over in a city full of opportunity. Niko links up with his brother, Roman, who has lived in America for some time and has sent home word of his success. However, it turns out that most of Niko’s successes were made up – he’s heavily in debt to all the wrong people. Niko soon discovers that a lot of things about the American Dream aren’t what they’re cracked up to be – as he gets swept up in the same violence that he fled Eastern Europe to escape.

As with the prior games in the Grand Theft Auto series, the focus of GTA IV’s gameplay is all about crime. Niko has the ability to easily carjack just about any car in the city, from station wagons to sports cars to tractor-trailers. Players will spend a fair amount of time driving about the city getting to the next mission location, but it rarely gets boring with such a huge variety of vehicles and complete freedom to go choose your own path. Plus, when it vehicles, you can listen to the radio stations, which feature real music from a variety of genres and eras as well as humorously written and performed mock talk radio shows. Niko can even fly planes and helicopters during certain parts of the game.
You can do a fair amount of damage with a vehicle, but Niko also has access to a substantial arsenal. Weapons can be bought from gun stores or taken from slain enemies. GTA IV introduces a new cover system that allows players to duck behind walls or crouch behind smaller obstacles to take cover from enemy fire. The targeting system has also been improved from prior versions, making for more fluid gunfights.

As the game progresses, Niko develops a number of contacts in the criminal world. These contacts will give him various missions that will provide the player with a source of direction and income, as well as moving the story along. Mission objects are widely varied, from simple tasks like driving a passenger to a different location to assassinating a rival criminal. While many missions seem straightforward at first, complications frequently ensue, keeping this fresh and exciting.

There are a lot of things for Niko to do when not engaged in missions. GTA IV introduces a persistent relationship system where Niko can build friendships and romantic relationships with certain characters. Friends and romantic interests will call up Niko to go out to strips clubs, get a drink, go bowling, or to go see a show. Other ways to blow off steam between missions include simply watching TV in Niko’s apartment, or hunting around the city for hidden items. Some players find the most fun thing to do is simply to wreak havoc on the city until captured by the police or killed.
The developers have added a lot of features that make proceeding through the GTA IV story more convenient. For instance, Niko can now opt to take a cab to a location, such as a mission start location, instead of making a long drive himself. The player can instantly skip the cab ride – for a small fee – so they can get right into the action of the mission. Niko’s cell phone also plays a big role, as he can communicate with mission contacts and allies while walking or driving through the city, instead of having to go to their location.

While the single-player experience has always been the focus of Grand Theft Auto games, GTA IV introduces online multiplayer. As many as 16 players on consoles, or 32 on PC, can join a game and participate in 15 different sorts of multiplayer modes. Mission types include traditional deathmatches, team deathmatches, and races as well as objective based missions like competing to steal the most cars and even a “cops vs. crooks” mode.

Key Features:

  • Explore a massive, open and incredibly detailed urban environment modeled after New York City and is brimming with virtual life
  • Meet a cast of colorful criminals and contacts including Italian and Russian mob bosses, drug dealers, Jamaican gun runners and many others
  • Follow Niko’s story as he attempts to make his own way in Liberty City and unravels the secrets of his past
  • Jack dozens of different models of vehicles, from regular old sedans to pickup trucks to helicopters and planes
  • Utilize a wide arsenal of pistols, shotguns, machines and explosive weapons to destroy Niko’s enemies
  • New cover system makes gunfights more dynamic and exciting
  • Classic Grand Theft Auto humor reappears in new radio talk shows, television shows, and the overall game script
  • Use Niko’s cell phone to communicate with contacts, set up dates, and even call up friends just to chat
  • Create your own game avatar and enter online games with up to 31 other players, with a variety of dynamic gameplay types

The Burning Crusades Video Trailer

The Burning Crusades Video Trailer

Illidan the Betrayer is a night elf who practiced Highborne magic. He is the twin brother and rival of Malfurion in his love for Tyrande.  But this pain and his mastery of arcane magic led him to commit infamous acts against his own people.  Discover his vendetta by watching related videos about The Burning Crusades.

The Burning Crusades videos are available in the World of Warcraft website under the expansion’s webpage.  Similar videos are also available in YouTube when you search its title.  In the Burning Crusades video trailer, you will hear Illidan narrating his unfortunate punishment of being imprisoned for 10,000 years, banished from his own homeland and with intruders daring to enter his realm.

You will next see a male Draenei opening a book of spells, casting one and leaving with his battle hammer afterwards.  The following scene shows you a female Blood Elf playing with a flying eel-like creature until she magically drains its life energy.  The next clip reveals to you an Orc slaughtering dragons with a sword.  A Character riding a speeding mount is briefly seen.

Then you see another Draenei hammering its enemies.  An Orc is shown hit by many arrows and you’ll see that it falls to the ground and a female Blood Elf raises her staff and covers the Orc in light.  A Mage magically transforms his opponent into a harmless sheep.  While a Shaman incinerates all the attacking creeps as he walks away.

You’ll notice another female Night Elf hitting the ground with her staff and then rock debris fly away. Lastly, you will see Illidan examining a human skull which he drops as he fly high above the cloud and yelled “You are not prepared!” after uncovering his weapons.

Illidan Stormrage is the self-proclaimed Lord of Outland, who ruled from the Black Temple. He was born as a Night Elf and the twin brother of Malfurion.  He was in love with Tyrande Whisperwind.  Illidan is an unusually gifted sorcerer. The extent of his powers were difficult to classify and kept increasing in large bursts as a demon hunter, sorcerer and having absorbed the energy of the Skull of Gul’dan.

Illidan’s quest for power and mastery of the arcane magic brought him to inflict horrific deeds against his fellow Night Elves and other Races in Azeroth.  You will also learn that he defected to Sargeras at some point in the War of the Ancients.  History despises his creation of a second Well of Eternity.  Because of his actions, he was imprisoned for 10 millennia and released during the Third War.  He was branded as the Betrayer for his atrocities to his people.

This expansion is set many years after the Burning Legion was defeated in the mountain of Hyjal.  The different Races in Azeroth are busily rebuilding their war-torn lives after the countless conflicts that destroyed their kingdoms.  After recovering some courage, the different heroes of the Horde and the Alliance begun to explore new horizons. They passed through the Dark Portal to discover the uncharted lands unknown to them.

In this voyage, you will encounter potential allies and enemies alike.  Perils and treasures will await you behind the Dark Portal.  You will discover the demons that you thought were already conquered.  You uncover their wicked plans to renew the Burning Crusade.  Before playing The Burning Crusade expansion set, you should first watch the videos to quickly understand the story behind.

FRACTURE

Lucas Arts is responsible for the creation of one of the newest games on the market. The stage has been set for the most electrifying game of the year. The game has two visually stimulating settings. You are going to be able to choose from playing in the desert southwest or in the home of the president, Washington DC. The graphics are both very compelling but the two have very different properties about them. The enemies for the two scenes are the same but the weapons of mass destruction are different. The game is going to be available on Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 for players to enjoy. Here are just a few of the things that you are going to love about this great game.

ENEMIES
Sherman: He is equipped with sticky bombs, and they are fast and deadly when they are launched. He is very easy to kill, but you are going to have to be quick on your feet.

Invader: This character is very cunning, and will be difficult for you to defeat. He has a shield that is going to make it difficult for you to be able to damage him. When you are up against him you are going to have to locate his weak spot. When you locate the spot you are going to see the green slime explode from his head. Do not stop fighting until he is destroyed, because this character has nine lives.

Creeper: This character is a new creation that is totally lethal. It has the ability to burrow under the ground and get you before you are able to see it coming. If you want to win you must defeat the creeper – and you are going to have to stay on your toes to be successful.

WEAPONRY
Ice rifle: You can use this weapon to freeze your enemies and the areas around them. This will make it easier for you to get the upper hand.

Vortex grenades: These grenades are truly essential to the downfall of your enemies. They twirl around and then attach themselves to your opponents. This gives you the unique ability to draw them in and kill them.

Catapult: This device can be used by the player to get around tight corners and has the power to fire and detonate at any location in the game.  It is a weapon of mass destruction that is at your beck and call.

You are going to love all of the fascinating graphics that the game provides for you. The puzzles are very gratifying, and you are going to get drawn into a world of brand new discovery. Using all of the different weapons at your disposal is going to give you the power to defeat the enemies that are trying to invade the city. Pay attention to the scenery that is based on real landmarks of the specific locations. It is your job to protect them, so you have to be on your toes at all times.

The Burning Crusades in World of Warcraf

The Burning Crusades is the first expansion pack of the World of Warcraft.  Even if you’re new to WoW, you can easily learn this expansion set by playing the game and reading more about it.

World of Warcraft Burning Crusades

Burning Crusades

If you enjoyed playing the original World of Warcraft and gained a lot of experience, you will find The Burning Crusades a lot more exciting.  This expansion pack adds more featured content in the already exhilarating World of Warcraft.  This includes the entire new continent of Outland which you can reach through the Dark Portal.  You can visit the 3 new Cities: The Exodar in Azuremyst Isle for the Alliance, Shattrath in Terokkar Forest a Neutral City and Silvermoon in Quel Thalas for the Horde.

In World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusades, you can choose from the 2 additional playable Races: the Blood Elves for the Horde faction or The Draenei for the Alliance.  Before this release, you can only play the Paladin and Shaman classes for the Alliance and Horde sides respectively.  The 2 new Races allows you to play a Shaman as a Draenei and a Paladin as a Blood Elf.

There are seven new zones available for your exploration: Hellfire Peninsula, Nagrand, Blades Edge Mountains, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.  Six new high-level dungeons: Hellfire Citadel, Coilfang Reservoir, Auchindoun, Tempest Keep, Caverns of Time and Karazhan.  Three more dungeons followed shortly. You can explore these dungeons in Azeroth, Outland and elsewhere. Each Dungeon have selectable difficulty settings to suit your skills.

In the Burning Crusades, you can ride the new player-controlled flying mounts in Outland.  You can increase your level up to 70.  There are also new spells that you can use for each class.  You have hundreds of new and dangerous monsters, epic world bosses, quests, and items to experience.  Socketed items are also added.  Plus, you can take up a new profession: Jewelcrafting.

A new Battleground, the Eye of the Storm, was brought in with 2 new brackets: one for characters with levels between 61-69 and another for level 70 characters.  Even though this new Battleground was designed for level 70 avatars, you cannot summon flying mounts in this zone.  You can only play in the Eye of the Storm battleground if you have the expansion.  Don’t worry, purchasing the expansion set is much cheaper if you buy it as a bundle with other World of Warcraft packages.  If you haven’t gotten past level 60 yet, you eventually will with sufficient guidance, practice and experience.

In the additional Player versus Player (PvP) Arena System, you can fight in the 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3 and 5 vs. 5 “Arena” battles.  If you don’t have the expansion pack, you can not participate in the rated skirmish matches, but you can in the unrated ones.  You may also join the Ladder Matches only if you have reached Level 70.

The 3 new Arena Stages of The Burning Crusade expansion are also available for you.  This include The Ruins of Lordaeron, which you can find in the Undercity, The Circle of Blood in Blades Edge Mountains and The Ring of Trials in Nagrand.  These arena matches took a leading role in terms of WoW’s PvP content and later on developed into an electronic sports competition.  You can join this games too once you develop your skills and experience.  Remember, the best way to learn by experience.  So set out and join the Burning Crusade!
