After playing the World of Warcraft for a few weeks now, you might already be thinking of playing its first Expansion Set – WoW: The Burning Crusade (TBC). Read on to get some Burning Crusade Tips that will help you set your mind on what’s ahead.
Before installing TBC in your computer, it is highly recommended that you read our Burning Crusade Tips to give you an overview of the Expansion Set. The first one would be to verify that you meet the minimum hardware requirements to have a smooth gaming experience. Once your computer is qualified, you can play TBC on a trial basis to test whether you will really like this expansion.
You can download a trial version of TBC from the WoW website. To do this, you need to sign up first and create an account in Battle.net. This easy as filling-up a web form and clicking Play Free Trial to proceed. Your Account Name is the same as your e-mail Address. Check your e-mail and open the e-mail from WoW.
You will be guided by this e-mail to download a small program. After downloading it, run this application and it will download the complete expansion. The download time will depend on your internet connection. You can leave this process running in the background while you continue reading our Burning Crusade Tips.
After the long download, just run the set-up program to install TBC on your computer. Just read the on-screen instructions and decide carefully when prompted. After installing the game, just click the appropriate desktop icon to start loading TBC.
While you are still downloading or installing TBC , you can just read ahead. Before finally playing The Burning Crusade, it is best to gather 100-120 Runecloths, this will improve your First Aid Skill from 300 to 330. You should also gather various potions and other supplies. This includes Health Pots, Sharpening Stones, Troll’s Blood and other items that can give you a boost.
New items, weapons, equipments, materials and recipes will be introduced in TBC. So it is best if you prepare as much gold so you can to purchase those that you need or want. You should also travel light when going to the Outland. This means a near empty bag. Only carry items that are essential. You have to do this because there are no Auction Houses in Outland so you need all the available space to minimize traveling.
If you’re with the Alliance, you should consider relocating to Stormwind because it will be nearer to the Blasted Lands compared to Ironforge or somewhere else. If you plan to visit Outland, you just need to go to the Blasted Lands. From there, you just walk through the Dark Portal. But to pass through, you need to be at level 58 and have the expansion activated in your account.
Upon reaching the Outland, you will first see the Hellfire Peninsula which is intended for level 60-63 players. This is also one of the largest zones in WoW. If you’re from the Alliance, move to the left after passing the portal. You will meet a Flight Path Non-Playable Character (NPC) who can fly you to Honor Hold. This is the main town of the Alliance in Hellfire Peninsula.
This is just part 1 of part 3 of my article: Quick and Dirty Burning Crusade Tips for the Beginner, I will continue from where I stop in the coming part, watch out for more tip on this topic. All the best.
