No exclusivity confirmed, Nov. 21date targeted.
Bethesda Softworks indicated the additional content being worked into the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the hardware launch in November would not remain exclusive to Sony, and this afternoon’s announcement from the studio confirms it. The “Knights of the Nine” content will be made available for Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Marketplace and on the PC via download or retail on November 21st.
No price — retail, marketplace or otherwise — has been set for Knights of the Nine, which will include an a new faction and quests for noble characters and answer questions about Oblivion’s Ayleid ruins. Players can also form their own order of holy knights, which has them exploring “massive” dungeons and discovering relics like holy armor and weapons of the Divine Crusader.
Bethesda will also be publishing a Knights of the Nine expansion pack for PC users, which includes not only the new content announced today, but all of the downloadable material released so far: Horse Armor, The Orrery, Wizard’s Tower, Vile Lair, Thieves Den, Mehrune’s Razor, and Spell Tomes.
