Ubisoft Delays Assassin’s Creed; GRAW 2 En Route

An unannounced Wii game in-the-works, too.

Expect the usual PR pizzazz in the coming weeks, but in an overview of Ubisoft financials during the first half of fiscal 2006-2007, the company both confirmed that Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2′s coming in the fiscal fourth quarter — which means it’s coming sometime before next March — and Assassin’s Creed moves into fiscal 2007-2008, which means it’ll likely arrive next fall.

Ubisoft didn’t reveal what platforms GRAW 2 will land on, though PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC are all safe bets, considering the publisher’s preference for multi-platform development.

Additionally, the company revealed they have another unannounced Wii game is currently in development based on a “new brand.” If everything proceeds as planned, Ubisoft will have released 14 different games on Nintendo’s new platform by March 2007.
